North West Shelf Australia LNG - Page Mast Head image

The North West Shelf Project continues to make significant investments in developing its infrastructure for the future.

Underpinned by huge gas and condensate fields on Australia's north-west continental shelf, the North West Shelf Venture continues to investigate exploration and production opportunities to maximise value from the North West Shelf assets well beyond the life of the existing resource base, while operating safely and reliably.

The A$5 billion North Rankin Redevelopment Project will extend gas supply from the North Rankin and Perseus fields until 2040 and is scheduled for completion in 2013.

Greater Western Flank (GWF) Development is targeted to follow the North Rankin Redevelopment. The area is located to the South-West of Goodwyn A platform and contains 14 fields estimated to hold approximately three Tcf of recoveralbe gas and approximately 100 mmbbl of condensate.
